The National, Thursday July 25th, 2013

IN the last national election in Enga, the provincial returning officer’s son was kidnapped during the counting of ballots for the regional seat. A public outcry by the current governor and the former provincial police commander was published in the newspaper. We cannot allow such an act to go unpunished as it sets a bad precedence for future elections. Can the police come out and tell us the progress of the case. Otherwise, can the governor get the police hierarchy in Port Moresby to do something? I believe the parents of the boy and the people of Enga need to know what actually transpired.
