Use pidgin to disseminate info

IT is upsetting to hear our MPs and people in Covid-19 control team using English to inform Papua New Guineans with vital and serious information.
These important information should be disseminated in the language that the people best understand. Many people are not following instructions and rules or awareness because they do not understand what is given in English.
Countries in the world are using their local languages or language people best understand to disseminate information on Covid-19.
Examples like Italy, Germany, Japan, Korea, Africa, Fiji, Iran and many others. The PNG Government is using English.
Please use pidgin if you are disseminating Covid-19 information so our people can understand what is required of them and will have full knowledge what to do and how to do them.

  • AGREE.
    The reason public awareness is carried out is so that the message is transferred effectively to the audience. It must be done in a language most people understand and English is not a well understood by most people in PNG.
    What is wrong just using simple Pidgin? It does make one a lesser PNGean.
