Use reward points before it expires, CPL tells customers

CITY Pharmacy Ltd customers who are members of its Real Rewards loyalty programme should redeem their points before it expires end of next month, group chief executive officer Navin Raju says.
He told The National that the expiry of points was part of the terms and conditions of the programme, but had not been strictly enforced.
On July 31, all unused points that are two or more years old will expire as per the terms and conditions.
Raju said there was a big number of points accumulated and not redeemed.
“We are encouraging members to redeem points through our various brands and partners,” he said.
“Any points that are unused and remain idle for two years will expire.”
Raju said the loyalty programme was a big part of CPL’s customer experience.
It is encouraging all its shoppers to become part of the programme to benefit from the offers and discounts.
“We are looking forward to growing and expanding the programme, with new innovative ideas, products and also services,” he said.
Real Rewards in partnership with Prouds will be releasing high-end luxury brands as part of its product offering.
Members can use their points to acquire high end household items.
Raju said plans were in place to expand to online and other communication platforms following the launching of its USSD service *505# in 2019 that enabled members to check their points using their Digicel phones.
“This service is expected to roll out towards the end of the year,” he said.
He said all members who shop online would be able to check their points via CPL online supermarket.
The Real Rewards Loyalty programme has been operating for more than a decade rewarding and retaining 300,000-plus members.
It is the country’s oldest and largest customer loyalty programme that rewards customers who shop at Hardware Haus, Stop & Shop and CPL outlets nationwide. There is also a cross-brand partnership with Air Niugini for the Destinations Loyalty programme, where Air Niugini’s destination members are able to redeem their points on selected products at Stop & Shop.
