Use technology for other developments

CAN science and technology improve the wellbeing of Papua New Guineans and help combat social issues?
The improvement of science and technology has helped a lot in communication.
People in urban and rural areas have easier access to communication through the use of improved technologies such as mobile phones.
Mobile phones have been the cause of many social problems in our communities as well.
Communication seems to be the only area that is developing well in the country.
But we should use science and technology to improve our lives by doing hydroponic and irrigation farming to improve local communities.
Why can’t we help people with disabilities and special needs to assist them with devices that will help them to walk, talk and hear?
It is up to the Government to justify why it spends so much money on information technology that increases the rate of cybercrime, cyber bullying and pornography in the country.
Pornography has become the cause of many rape cases in the country.
When we talk about science and technology, our mind quickly switches to the use of technology in schools.
Our Government may be good at talking about improving science and technology, but it should consider other developments instead of just communication.
