Vanama maintain clean slate in comp
VANAMA maintained their clean record this season, nailing Ela Motors 3-0 in the NCD Volleyball Association’s premier division clash at the Taurama Indoor and Aquatic Centre on Saturday.
Vanama maintain their lead in the standings on 15 points.
With George David missing from the team, Jeffery Charlie, Jason Nauga, Lahui Oni, Jackson Rau and Martin Ray stepped up their game and gave the automotive dealers no breathing space to come up with the victory.
In the other men’s premier results Scorpions beat U-Mi Yet 3-1, Jamas defeated Laudanu 3-1, Telikom edged One-Six Pawa 3-2 and Vailima thrashed Strive Stars in straight sets.
On the women’s court in the premier division, Ela Motors got even with Vanama, reversing the men’s result in straight sets.
This helped them maintain their place at the top of the table.
Ela Motors stars Emily Bae, Hitolo Raka and Veuga Omoa were on fire again.
In the other results, Vailima trashed Strive Stars in straight sets, Telikom gave One Six Pawa the same dose and Scorpions had the last laugh over MJ Electrical U-Mi Yet.
