Vanimo to host Momase tourney

THE 7th non-sanctioned Momase regional club championships will be held in Vanimo, West Sepik, on Nov 22.
Tournament president John Peka said the championship was open only to associations in the region which were either champions or runners-up.
He said the nomination fees for the men’s and women’s teams participating would be K500 for each team.
Those interested in taking part should pay their fees into ANZ Lae account No: 11607456. 
Peka said the aim of the games was to promote and develop sports in the Momase region and unite players and spectators from the four provinces in the region – Morobe, Madang, East Sepik and West Sepik.
Peka said preparations were going to plan with clubs showing a lot of interest.
Organisers are now awaiting confirmation from West Sepik Governor, and Vanimo-Green MP, Belden Namah for confirmation of funds they had pledged for the tournament.
