THE Vabukori Amateur Volleyball Association are the undisputed kings of the code.

VAVA out-classed Huon Gulf 3-0 for their 10th successive national title at the Sir John Guise Indoor Complex last night.

The championships were supported by the PNG Olympic Committee through the National Government’s funding to prepare for the 2015 Pacific Games.

In front of a crowd of about 1,000 it was just too easy as the Vabukori youths confidently shut out the Morobes.

The scorecards showed the defending champions were ahead on ever count with healthy winning margins in every set. VAVA won the sets 25-13, 25-20 and 25-15.

VAVA’s big game experience and the fact that most of its players have been together for nearly a decade, proved too much for the opposition.

This match was also a good learning curve for the young Huon Gulf team who shocked Fairfax to make the final.

In the women’s final, Fairfax Blue beat Fair fax White 3-1 and in the Under-21 men’s final VAVA beat Hula 3-0.
