Vehicles worth K300,000 given to police

Momase

A COMPANY has donated two vehicles to police in Morobe to help officers serving in the communities.
NKW Group chief executive Marlen Brunskill said they were supporting the police and the people.
He said people living along the Wau-Bulolo Highway and those using the road would benefit.
“The vehicle should be seen not only as a donation but also as an assistance to all stakeholders,” he said.
The two vehicles cost more than K300,000.
Provincial police commander Superintendent Alex N’Drasal said one vehicle would be used by a response team stationed at Mumeng and the other will be used by the mobile squad at Bulolo.
“This road is an economic corridor for the provincial and national governments. That is why police have to secure the highway to ensure it is protected,” he said.
