Video of police brutality must not be taken lightly
The National, Thursday March 27th, 2014
THERE is a video going around of police brutality that occurred somewhere along one of the NCD highways; maybe at Baruni, 9-Mile Makana or the Magi Highway.
In the 55-minute video, five police officers were involved in the incident.
One was the cameraman, another was the driver and the other three were with their dogs.
I believe they are from the dog unit of McGregor Barracks, with their blue ute.
The victim was seated on the ground while the three dog handlers ordered their dogs to attack him.
The dogs bit him from different angles and the poor guy was helpless as he screamed and shouted for his life while the officers seemed to be having fun.
When the victim could not take it anymore, he stood up and tried to escape.
As he slowly moved away, the dogs continued biting him all over until his shirt was torn.
Luckily, he took off his shirt and ran towards the bushes.
The officers threatened to release the dogs after him, but he kept on running.
The video ended there.
We can only guess what happened after that.
Please, can the authorities look into this?
