Villagers find wife killer’s corpse

The decomposing corpse of a man who allegedly killed his wife three weeks ago has been found by villagers.
Police said the body was found by villagers at Lapai village, Djaul Island, New Ireland in thick bushes with a container of white liquid next to it.
Police said the white liquid was “fish poison” used to killed fish in the river.
Police said there was no sign of injury on his body.
The man was identified by police as Jacob Willie, 30, of Lapai village.
Provincial police commander Oena Afeke said the cause of his death was unknown.
Afeke said the man went into hiding after he chopped his wife’s neck off on Oct 20.
Police said the wife and husband did not have any children.
