Villagers want probe

THE people in the Waria local level government (LLG) area of Bulolo want to know why material bought for the proposed Waria Valley High School is rotting away at the building site.
Councillors are concerned with the material being abandoned at the construction site in Garasa, Garaina.
Councillors Boni Birito (ward 10), Amos Sega (ward 11) and Jasper Jema (ward 16) want an investigation by the national and Morobe governments and the processes involved in contracting companies for establishing the new school.
“This was (supposed to be) an impact project in the valley and LLG, but is considered as failed project,” Jena said.
“Even though the funding came from Government, all building materials are lying idle near the Garasa airstrip at Pewaura Primary School.”
