Vipers name squad for Masta Mak Easter Cup

PORT Moresby Vipers have named their 25-man squad for the Masta Mak Easter Cup trials which will be held at the Lloyd Robson Oval in Port Moresby starting today to Monday.
Vipers selectors are calling on the players selected to attend a briefing this afternoon at the Lloyd Robson Oval for preliminary roll-call and inform them of medical checks and other requirements.
With the Vipers embarking on zero-tolerance on discipline and alcohol, the selectors had done away with regulars, most of whom, have retired from actively competing in rugby league.
The selectors have opted for youth blended with a few experienced hands to participate in the event.
The side involves players currently participating with their local clubs.
Some of them have been monitored since last year after competing at the PNG Games, the Southern region Nines challenge and Port Moresby rugby league nines pre-season competition.
