Vipers ready win on road

 THE Stop N Shop Port Moresby Vipers are poised to complete a successful two weekends in the Highlands when they play the Petroleum Resources Kutubu Mendi Muruks at Joe Keviame Oval, in Mendi, on Sunday. 

After upsetting the Enga Mioks 19-14 in Wabag last week, Larsen Marabe’s side are favoured to account for an out-of sorts Muruks that drew 8-8 with the Wamp Nga Mt Hagen Eagles in the last round.

The Vipers have kicked on since their disappointing 6-18 defeat at the hands of the Agmark Rabaul Gurias in round two and head to the Southern Highlands capital with a full strength side comprising national representatives in key positions. 

Five-eighth Israel Eliab and fullback Josiah Abavu are expected to feature prominently while prop Enoch Maki will be a handful.
