Visit hospital if sick: Pastor

Faith

A PASTOR says sick people should go to the hospital to get treatment instead of waiting for them to die then blaming God for it.
Pastor Charles Lapa, during a dedication service for the new Intensive Care Unit at the Paradise Private Hospital recently, said some people blamed God when someone who had been sick died.
“God gave us doctors to heal us. So go to the hospital when you get sick,” he said.
Hospital chief executive officer Dr Robin Sios said: “It’s a time to reflect on our calling as health service providers with faith, to enhance the healing of our people as it’s our choice to join this profession.”
Lapa quoted Thessalonians 5:23 saying: “May the God of Peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and the body be preserved for the coming of our Lord.”
He urged doctors and nurses to have faith and walk with God always because PNG is a Christian nation.
