Papua New Guinea’s biggest-selling newspaper, The National, is offering a 20 per cent discount at the trade expo being held at Vision City Mega Mall, Port Moresby.
The discount, which “applies to a minimum 5×2 lineage advertisements”, is only available at The National booth at the expo.
“You get the discount voucher there then you come and pay,” said advertising manager Dorcas Aup.
The expo at Papua New Guinea’s biggest mall opened on October 10 and will close on October 20.
The National booth is outside the Cuppa coffee shop and manned by two sales staff.
“We are assisting clients and interested customers’ queries on our products,” said team leader Lorna Ipo. “We are basing our awareness on the advertisements in the paper.”
Ipo said they were also promoting the newspaper’s 25 anniversary on Nov 11.
“We are also promoting the silver jubilee of the company, informing clients to be part of our celebrations by taking part in our silver jubilee supplement,” she said. “You can wish the paper happy birthday, tell of your experiences with The National or advertise your products or services.
“As we are turning 25, all our rates will be slashed by 25 per cent.”
Vision City marketing manager Maureen Esta said the expo would award prizes to the best-looking booth, most-interactive and innovative booth and the media’s favourite booth.
