THE Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League resumes tomorrow with ladder leaders Vitiaz United facing Star Mountain in the round-11 opener of Port Moresby’s triple-header at Papua New Guinea Football Stadium.
It remains to be seen whether Raymond Gunemba and Nigel Dabinyaba take the field for Hekari United in their match against Bougainville — who have recently recruited Percy Mataio as coach — with their former club Lae City claiming that the pair are yet to be officially released.
City face Gulf Komara in Port Moresby’s second game with former Tusbab Stallions striker Stahl Gubag expected to take the field for the defending champions.
Vitiaz United, under skipper Eliud Fugre, will look to maintain top spot with the addition of Donovan Murray (Komara), Jonathan Allen (Bougainville) and Peter Dabinyaba (City) to their side for the remainder of the season.
Star Mountain have recruited goalkeeper Luke Kaprangi Jr, July Elijah and Moses Arisib, who were released by Bougainville following a downsizing by the franchise over the Covid-19 pandemic.
The restart will also see a double-header in Lae with the Stallions facing Kutubu and Morobe United taking on Morobe Wawens in the local derby at Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium tomorrow.
