VOLLEYBALL Fairfax is set to rock and unveil this year with a pre-season competition to be held at the Taurama Leisure Centre next Sunday.
The pre-season challenge will run for two consecutive Sundays, with the finals on Feb 28.
Teams that will be contesting in the event will be graded so that officials would slot them into respective divisions based on their performance.
Volleyball Fairfax deputy match committee chairman John Pusih told The National that all interested clubs wishing to nominate teams should field a men’s and women’s team for the event. They should also pay a K20 fee.
Payments for the event should be directed to the association account or to the treasurer Piti Johang.
Pusih said the draws would be placed in the two daily newspapers for the teams to see and prepare for another year of exciting volleyball competition.
This year’s season proper competition will start on March 7 as reigning champions, in the men’s and women’s divisions, Raukele Dolphins return for another great season.
Dolphins were very dominant last season, claiming the men’s premier division title, the women’s premier top honours and bagged the division one male category.
