Volunteers help out in festivities

 MORE than 200 Madang community members volunteered to ensure residents enjoyed the festive season. 

Provincial police commander Supt Anthony Wagambie Junior told The National last week youths and concerned members of the community were assisting the police to patrol their communities.

Wagambie said available resources and manpower were being be utilised to mount a special operation to ensure a peaceful festive season.

“Plans for the operation in town and nearby communities were being put together by the station commander as the second in charge,” he said.
