Vote people who can bring change

Letters

FORMER Markham MP Steven Mambon spoke about how corruption was eating the funds that are given by the Government to deliver services to the people.
As a young proud citizen of Madang, I am impressed with the highlights that were given by the former MP about the poor level service delivery due to corruption during the Independence eve.
Enough funds were given out by the Government compared to the 1970s and 1980s, but saw less development.
Mambon said: “Back then, little was given with more developments, but today, enough is given with poor service delivery”.
This is very true.
Our MPs should take his words as a challenge and embrace it as we are approaching the 2022 general election.
If they have failed to deliver services for the past years, I believe they should reflect on Mambon’s words.
If they happen to get reelected, they should focus on correcting their mistakes and do better for their people.
It is important that when voting for candidates in the upcoming election, the people should choose honest, trustworthy and God-fearing leaders.
People should not go after money.
They should focus on voting people that can initiate change and development for all and not just the ones that vote for them.

Scope Thought,
Madang
