WADL helps ESP parents

WEWAK Agriculture Development Limited (WADL), the developer of the proposed multi-million-kina Turubu oil palm project, has come to the aid of Turubu Bay parents by paying their children’s school fees totalling K30,000.
Landowner company chairman Aron Malijivi presented K10,000 each to three clan groups from the area in the presence of the investor Joseph Tang, Turubu local level government president David Kausik and clan members at the Sea View Hotel in Wewak last week.
The presentation came at a time when parents throughout East Sepik are petitioning the provincial government to shoulder 50% of all their children’s school fees, a burden which they could not afford anymore.
Mr Tang said the assistance was in appreciation to the three clans in allowing their beach front to be cleared for a company wharf area.
