ASSISTANT Commissioner of Police (ACP) NCD/Central Anthony Wagambie Jr has warned officers under his command to avoid involvement in criminal activities.
“Since taking office, and at my first formal parade addressing members of the NCD and Central police, I stressed that you cannot be a criminal and police,” he said.
“You can only be one.
“So if you are engaging in criminal activities, associating with known criminals, the law will catch up with you.
“We are receiving reports of others being involved in such activities and I will make sure they are dealt with criminally and discharged from the constabulary,” ACP Wagambie said.
His warning comes after intelligence reports led to a raid on a home belonging to a local businessman in Koki, and the arrest of a suspect allegedly involved in the robbery at Moreguina and gunfight with police about two weeks ago.
Three others found aiding and abetting the suspect were arrested.
