Waited in vain

Letters

UNFORTUNATELY, we have waited in vain for this so called officer from the Eastern Highlands governor’s office, who came some months ago collecting names for school fee assistance.
To date nothing has emerged from the good governor’s office regarding this matter.
I hope the officers did not wasted the time that should have been spent on doing productive work for the province by enjoying and relaxing around in wasting people’s money in hotels for events that could not be eventuated.
It’s almost the end of the 2019 academic year and sadly some of us students will go home with outstanding fees.
Those who will graduate will have their papers retained by the institution for incomplete payment of fees.
The good governor’s office should practice fairness by helping all Eastern Highlands tertiary students throughout PNG.
Walk the talk governor.

  • I truly support Mr. Kesu Pawa’s report because as an Eastern Highlands student studying at Enga, I for one can say that such initiative taken by our government without an honest integrity and up to date consideration in spendings on human resource is a slap on the face for myself. As an individual who is studying in the heart of education-minded province in the likes of ACTION GOVERNOR PETER IPATAS who has not put political words on media regarding educational sponsorship but put words in action and reality, with his presence in every secondary and tertiary institutions that educate Engans to meet their cost is a challenge to my good Governor Peter Numu. Why not our governor (Peter Numu) go around the institutions that educates Eatern Highlanders to observe and assess how Eastern Highlands students are going through, rather than relaxing in the office that the poor parents of these students have put him into and sending his so-called corrupt officials to carry out the duty.

  • Why, just now they go around getting names for school fee assistance. Who could this be. Post his name in public so that we know who this person is, whether he works for the governors office or not. A lot of con people do this. They should collect names in the beginning of the year and not when the school is closing.
