Waiting for PNG Power to fix easipay metre

Letters

I AM a resident of Port Moresby and this my forth week living without power.
I have been contacting the PNG Power call centre almost every day for a technician to come replace my easipay meter, but no one has come.
I have talked to people I know and have asked them if they had experienced similar situations and they have all confirmed with me that they’ve experienced prolonged periods without power, waiting for PNG power to get their act together.
This is abuse of human rights.
Those responsible should be held accountable for it.

  • Mr Tekali, you got that point right. Now adays if you want a service from this utility Service Provider, always remember to include some lunch money. I personally call this lunch money strategy as Performance Ehancemnet Allowance (PEA(. The strategy works. I have tried applying to have my power reconnected within days of my request. Thankyou.

  • That’s a corruption fee and only sick dogs expect, and ask for it as if they are not paid for the job they are doing.

That’s how low the nation has gone down.
