Waiting in vain to withdraw savings from Nasfund

I DO not know why it is taking Nasfund more than 7 months to pay out what rightfully belongs to people.

I lodged my application to receive my savings after being out of work for more than 1 year & 7 months as of July this year 2015.

I have provided all necessary documents needed to get my savings and I am still waiting 7 months after lodging my papers.

To make matters worse, I am not from Western Province, and my only hope is my savings to get me out of this “hell hole” I am stuck in but I am not helped at all by the Nasfund people here in Western Province, Tabubil branch.

Every time I enquire I am asked for the same information I provided in the first instance I applied for withdrawal of my savings.

It is now seven (7) months after I lodged my application for withdrawal of my savings and I enquired again recently and I was asked to provide the same information I provided a thousand times before which makes life more miserable for me. It costs K25 one way and K50 both ways to travel from Kiunga to Tabubil and with extra coins for lunch it costs me more than K100 per trip and being unemployed and with no money I have to borrow to travel up to Tabubuil.

As I am writing this, I am under pressure from my creditors who have lent money to me since January 2015.

I have made my mind now that if I am given an opportunity again in the future, Nasfund would be my last option for saving my retirement benefits.
