WATCHING television will now be a new and more enjoyable experience for Tau Wanadai – thanks to Stop&Shop Harbour City in Port Moresby.
And it could not have come at a better time for the Maroons supporter.
Wanadai spent K97.95 on some biscuits and milk at the supermarket on June 24, and put in his entry into the Stop & Shop promotion.
“I am shocked, I am very lucky that I won this TV,” Wanadai said.
“I thank Stop&Shop for this promotion. I have been shopping here for quite a while now. I have been trying my luck. I come here every week. My family will be very happy to see the TV, the biggest TV I will ever own.”
Wanadai, 58, resides at Barakau village.
“I do my own small business and bring my children to work, school and then I go back,” he said.
Managing director of CPL group Mahesh Patel said the Stop&Shop promotion, over the three draws, saw a record participation by customers.
“Across the three draws we got over 75,000 entries. Customers qualified to participate in the promotion upon shopping K90 or more,” he said.
“The State of Origin TV draw is part of our strategy to have aspirational products in these kind of promotions so our winners feel rewarded. And it’s our way to thank our customers for shopping with us.”
