A LONG-serving member of the PNG Bible church has called on pastors and church leaders not to ask for donations to build churches or  extend God’s Kingdom but to pray and wait so they can see miracles.

Samuel Wange said this last Saturday at the Wesleyan Bible College at Avi, Jiwaka, while presenting a cheque for K69,000 to the Wesleyan Church.

Wange said God gave to people who asked him and it was not right when Christians sought donations from business houses and individuals to extend the work of God.

He said to extend the Gospel was God’s problem and it was not for any person to ask or seek donations.

“We are the children of the most high God and we fail to ask him through prayer,” he said.

“I always see several donation letters but I do not entertain them as I know that these people do not pray.”

Wange said he had been giving a lot to Churches and in return he saw better things.

He said to give God was like sowing success and prosperity.

“I do not like to see Christians begging or asking for donations here and there, that is they are limiting what God does in their lives,” Wange said.

He said living a Christian life of faith would bring in achievement, prosperity and success.
