WANTOKS are expected to create another upset on Saturday as they gear up to take on top women’s team Bears in the A Grade semi-finals at the Bisini Softball Diamonds.

Wantoks stunned the crowd with their performance last Sunday when they beat top spot contenders Stingerz 12-5 in a do-or-die match to the fancied Stingerz season.

This week’s semi-final will be a thriller as the two teams battle to see who will face United Sisters in the grand final.

Bears will be lead by enforcers Lisa Polum, Antonia Kinit, with the tireless efforts of youngsters Talitha Tarasomo and Nadia Bais.

While United Sisters remain on a bye this weekend for the grand finals, Wantoks are determined to make sure they hassle Bears to take that spot.

Wantoks pitcher Ellie Arek said it would be a tough challenge against Bears but they were looking forward to it.

In the B Grade, Chebu will take on Stingerz in the semi-finals, while United Sisters are on a bye for the grand-final next week.
