THE Lungalunga ward in the Livuan-Reimber local level government of Gazelle, in East New Britain, has submitted its five-year development plan to MP Jelta Wong.
Wong commended the ward for the achievement saying the plan adopted the nine strategic result areas of the ENB strategic development plan (2010-2021).
These are governance and management leadership, economic development, education, social development, infrastructure, land mobilisation, HIV/AIDS response and disaster management and preparedness.
Wong urged the 131 wards in the five LLGs in Gazelle to produce their development plans.
He said the plan must involve the people who should have a say in what they needed.
The Gazelle development board will allocate K800,000 to the district’s five LLGs.
Wong said the participation of the ward development committees allowed the LLG and the district to prepare their budgets.
