Water all over

National, Normal

UNDER normal circumstances, and especially after almost a day without water in Lae on Monday, one would welcome any sight of water.
This was not the case for the staff of the Huon Gulf pharmacy in town.
The pharmacy workers were greeted by a “downpour” of water from the ceiling of their shop when they turned up for work early yesterday morning.
The “downpour” was caused because the tenants who occupied the rooms above the pharmacy forgot to turn off their taps the previous day.
When the water was restored to certain parts of the city yesterday evening, the taps overflowed into the pharmacy.
The toy section in the pharmacy was the worst affected.
Pictured is staff Jeffery Sam attempting to sweep out as much water as possible.
The pharmacy was, however, open for business.
