Wawens score late win over United

SECOND-half goals from Alu Awi and Moses Kamkeng saw the Morobe Wawens beat Besta PNG United 2-1 in their round five NSL fixture last Saturday.
Coming of a 4-3 loss to the Southern Strikers last week, the Wawens were pushed hard by United before finally scoring the winner in the 87th minute courtesy of Kamkeng.
The Harrison Kamake-coached Wawens have now won two from four matches. The PNGFA Academy-based team coming off from a bye had the game in their possession and with two minutes on the clock before the break saw Irenus Wibewa finding the net for his side to go 1-0.
Wawens replied through striker Alu Awi in the 52nd minute and the match became an arm wrestle untill three minutes before time.
