We are on the brink of collapse

Letters

THE truth about PNG is that it is a failed state on the brink of collapsing and is only pretending.
Or in other words it has already collapsed and cannot help itself.
The prime minister knows the truth about this; all politicians and top bureaucrats knew as well this truth but are not admitting that PNG is a failed state.
Why the very people placed in high office are not admitting the fact is because donor partners will withdraw their aid and support.
Organisations such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank will be proposing to buy off PNG or take control of all its minerals, oil, gas, forests, sea and other resources to recoup their long overdue debts with interest.
This is most likely to take place if PNG admits its true state of affairs as its economy, accountability and conduct as a nation.
Enough evidence has surfaced to indicate that PNG is a failed state.
Some of this evidence includes:

  • PNG’s inability to repay the IMF and World Bank loans with interest;
  •  IN to repay the UBS loan with interest;
  • PRINTING of more money but not stabilising the economy;
  • A FAILED 2022 NGE;
  •  JUDICIARY system compromising with the Government of the day;
  •  DONOR partners losing trust and confidence in government;
  • CONTINUOUS inflation; and,
  • CONTINUOUS borrowing from overseas banks.

These are a few highlights of our country showing signs as a failed state but there are more indicators to draw conclusions from to confirm that PNG is a failed state.
If we do not admit the fact what then are the fruits of a prosperous and well-managed country?
Let’s be honest.
