We need action, not just words

Letters

PAPUA New Guinea is said to be a rich nation but we haven’t seen prosperity.
Corruption has been deeply rooted in the heart of PNG and has prevented us to prosper.
Our leaders with smart mouths and sweet talks have brainwashed the people. Not even a single policy decision in Parliament came into effect.
All decisions made by the National Executive Council went into the drain and we still suffer.
The poor are continuing to struggle.
People are still struggling to survive in this rich nation.
Who are the rightful people who can clean the mess?
People are living with many unanswered questions.
Despite that, a few people are managing to get by.
Many hope their children would get an education and a job so they would get benefit from them.
But that hope is shattered when they see their children struggle to get employed.
Job opportunities are few and only a handful of graduates get jobs.
The number of unemployed people are increasing every year.
Many grade 12 school leavers with good marks are left out.
This is another kind of forced policy that is kicking the students out from pursuing their studies.
Roads are another issue that hold us back.
The Government is telling us to be involved in agricultural activities but how can we move our produce when there are no proper roads?
We need the Government to perform the task of an actual government and not the type that talks a lot without action
