We need seafarer jobs policy

 PAPUA New Guinea definitely needs a Seafarer Training & Employment Policy to safe guard the current maritime jobs onboard PNG registered vessels and also for employment opportunities onboard vessels engaged in shipment of LNG, oil tankers operating in domestic trade, offshore oil & gas operations and offshore sea bed mining. Due to increasing sea farer job market, the above policy will cater for the training needs, market maritime personnel, job security and fully maximising employment and benefits.
