We need time to put yard in order, not 20 months

Letters, Normal

MY conscience tells me that 2012 is the right time to change the government.
While the government may stink, what can the opposition hope to achieve within the 20 months or so it will be in power?
Honestly, nothing.
Our government has been boasting about themselves for bringing stability and economic growth but there is little or no evidence of tangible development, especially outside the urban areas.
The quality of life of the people of PNG has also not improved.
Our social indicators are going down, and infant and maternal mortality rates are up.
Studies show most of our children under five are not immunised, more than half the citizen do not have safe drinking water, HIV/ AIDS is spreading, etc.
If we want to correct them, we need more time, not 20 months.
