We reap what we sow

Letters

NOTHING great comes easy.
It takes time, effort, and sleepless nights to get outstanding results.
Many of us Papua New Guineans want quick fixes. We want to be rich overnight.
What happens when we don’t? Well, many give up on life while some resort to corruption.
They misappropriate people’s funds. And this is not a minor issue in this country. Take this from me.
A river cuts the rock not by its power but by its persistence, which means that the river has to consistently bump onto the rock for days, weeks, months and years to slowly, but surely, cut through it.
So Papua New Guineans, how do we expect to be great in the future if all we do is live within our comfort zone?
Great things never ever come from comfort zones. You have to feel the pain to gain. Many of us like to complain, but we don’t like doing anything about it.
All in all, hard work and persistence will bring about great results.
Work hard and you’ll reap great results. Will anything good come from complaining and blaming?
Let me tell you this, success starts where blaming ends.
