Employees of the Internal Revenue Commission in Lae took 15 minutes off their working time to discuss and reflect on World AIDS Day yesterday around 2pm. The discussion was led by GST auditor Jessie Tamegal (right) who reminded the employees of the significance of the day and the importance of wearing red as a symbol of compassion for those living and affected by HIV/AIDS. The tax officers had incidentally received their new uniforms yesterday, which could not have been more appropriate for the occasion.
