Wedding bells toll for young lawyers

TWO Sepik lawyers exchanged marriage vows at the Pacific Adventist University grounds on Sunday.
Serena Sasingian, of Yangoru; and Joseph Sumanop, of Wewak, East Sepik, both 27, tied the knot in an open-air ceremony conducted by Pastor Chaplin Boude and witnessed by delighted relatives and friends.
Serena is executive director of The Voice Inc, a non-government organisation that mentors young Papua New Guineans to achieve positive things in life. Joseph is employed by the ANZ Bank as a member of its legal team.
Serena’s father, Jacob Sasingian was a long-time diplomat who served in New York and Tokyo.
Joseph’s father, Francis worked for the East Sepik provincial government.
The wedding ceremony was followed by a feast at the PNG Institute of Public Administration.
