GOVERNOR Luther Wenge has hit back at former Morobe Premier Sir Jerry Nalau, who earlier this week said his 15-year leadership was unproductive.
Sir Jerry, who urged Morobeans to vote Wenge out of office, spoke out after the mobilisation of Kau Banis settlers against the legal owner and developer, the Papindo Group of Companies.
“I am a lawyer, I operate by the laws,” he said.
Wenge claimed Sir Jerry failed to develop the state land that was now the Biwat compound and which led to mostly Sepik settlers successfully claiming their right through the national court to live there.
“The National Court allowed them to stay there.”
