Wera, Yoka named

ADEX Wera has been pushed to fullback, while Justin Yoka comes in at halfback for Sunday’s Intrust Super Cup Round 10 clash against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls at the Oil Search National Football Stadium.
Wera returns to his preferred position and will line-up against former teammate Edene Gebbie, pictured, who will wear the Wynnum No.1 jersey in his first match against the Hunters.
Yoka’s creativity and decisiveness as a playmaker sees him partner up with veteran Ase Boas in the halves as the Hunters search for the first home win of 2019.
The shuffle sees Bland Abavu move to the wing in place of Junior Rau who is sick while Wawa Paul makes an appearance in the centres – his first start since Round 4 against the Easts Tigers.
The SP Hunters will also be without the services of the injured Junior Rop with Dilbert Isaac taking his spot at lock.
Hunters coach Michael Marum said the final 18 would be confirmed at the captain’s run on Saturday.
Marum added that two Digicel Cup players Terry Wapi (Gurias) and Smith Siviri (Isou) had been called up and would move into camp this week and are expected to make their debuts later in the season after being inducted into the Hunters programme.
The game on Sunday kicks off at 3pm but before that will be the Round 7 Digicel Cup fixture between Central Dabaris and Hela Wigmen at 12.45pm.
Following the Hunters-Seagulls match will be the encounter between Gulf Isou and Mendi Muruks at 5pm.
Gates at the NFS open at 11:30am.
