Western Highlands appointments

THE appointment process of teachers posting in Western Highlands has never been done on merit every year.
It seems people in the authority owned all the positions from secondary down to the elementary schools.
There is no fair representation in the team called the ‘appointing committees’ which should have representatives from PNGTA, agency, provincial government and TSC but that does not happen.
There must be transparency in dealing with teachers postings and must be done upon the merits.
