Wewak Fode centre shock

Letters

THE Flexible Open Distant Education (Fode) headquarters and Education Department inspectors should check all provincial centres.
Almost every year our dropout students from grades 8, 10 and 12 go to Fode to upgrade their marks for further education.
They enrol and then we pay their fees.
I have two children enrolled at Fode through the provincial centre in Wewak where I paid K1600 for my son in grade 10, which is K200 per subject for eight subjects, and K3200 for eight subjects in grade 12 for my daughter, bringing the total to K4800.
All the money has been paid but the children are still waiting for five more subjects.
The national examinations are being held this month.
My daughter went down to check the coordinator and was told that if she paid another K500 she would be assisted to get her certificate without sitting the national exams.
What?
The Wewak centre needs an inspection.
