Wewak MP focuses on settling issues

WEWAK MP Kevin Isifu wants to iron out issues, including the establishment of the lands and building boards, before rolling out development plans in the district.
“Many things are not in order and could possibly disturb the plans I have for my electorate,” Isifu, who is the Inter Government Relations Minister, said.
“About 12 years ago, the East Sepik government failed to establish land and physical planning boards as regulatory bodies.
“We cannot build or put things anywhere, we have to know where a hospital, clinics, schools, public toilets and government housing have to be built.”
Isifu said having the boards would help facilitate development for the growing township with a population of more than 200,000 people.
