Wewak youths told to walk in faith

IT was on a sunny Sunday, Feb 25, that Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Kurian Mathew Vayalunkal arrived at an already packed Wirui Cathedral in Wewak, East Sepik.
This was his first visit to the Wewak Diocese as Apostolic Nuncio.
He was also there to celebrate the ordination of deacon Micah Ramujuat from Maprik and launch a yearly pastoral plan for the youths.
The large cathedral was full of young people representing three deaneries, Wewak, Maprik and Sepik.
They prepared the liturgy, the processions and dressed up in their respective colours of red, yellow and green.
Vayalunkal encouraged everyone to climb the mountains of difficulties and problems with Jesus as three of his apostles did.
“Only when we walk up the mountain with Jesus he will change our struggle into joy,” he said.
When Ramujuat was ordained Roszynski reminded him of his duty as a deacon.
Roszynski also reminded the family that from now Ramujuat was a man of God and his ministry could not be distracted by the expectations of his families and relatives.
