What a shame no Muruks in Kumuls

Letters, Normal

THE players from minor premiers of the bemobile Cup have been overlooked for national duties for reasons only known to the PNGRL board and selectors.
The Mendi Muruks have shown champions material by performing consistently in the last three years, finishing among the top three.
Without having a big name player, they still showed the class that makes the Muruks the best team.
All teams played their home games at their own backyard while the Muruks had no home game per se.
The bulk of the Kumuls should come from the Muruks but that was not to be.
Muruks coach Jack Kereme is a no-nonsense man and he has been the mainstay of the team.
What is the secret of Muruks success year in year out?
Obviously the coach knows a secret or two and he should be part of the national team.
But that was not to be either.
It is a shame not a single player from the winning team is in the national side.
This is something I cannot understand.

Muruks forever
