What a waste of funds

I REFER to your headline “Last supper for soldiers” (April 9).
I cannot see any advantage to the nation by giving free meals to the Defence Force personnel.
Unnecessary funds are being wasted on these so-called “soldiers” while 80% of the nation is living in abject poverty, roads and infrastructure deteriorating.
We call them “soldiers”.
But is there a war?
We call them “defence force”.
What sort of force are they defending?
More than 100 soldiers pass out each year, only to sit on their a*** (pardon my language), eat and guard the barracks, like security guards.
I say they are no better than security guards, the only difference is they are slaves to the Government.
So stop complaining and serve your nation like good little soldiers.
