THE WR Carpenters Group of Companies through Boroko Motors Ltd signed a three-year agreement with the delivery of six Nissan vehicles to the PNG Rugby Football League yesterday.
The agreement continues a partnership between Boroko Motors and the PNGRFL which started seven years ago.
The agreement will see the company assist the PNGRFL in its development programmes through the provision of vehicles.
The value of the partnership is estimated at close to K1 million.
The agreement was signed betweem WR Carpenters country manager John Mangos and BML general manager David Lowe with PNGRFL chief executive Reatau Rau and SP PNG Hunters chairman Graham Osborne at the Boroko Motors in Port Moresby.
Also present was Hunters head coach Michael Marum.
Rau said PNGRFL was grateful to be backed by one of the leading motor compnaies in the country.
He said the PNGRFL and the Hunters brand was one that the corporate community wanted to support because of its popularity, and record of success and professionalism.
“This investment will support in the delivery of the PNGRFL programmes conducted by the regional development offices,” Rau said.
Mangos said the support to help the league run its programmes from game development, Hunters and also the Digicel Cup.
“We’re happy to support the PNGFRL in developing the sport throughout the country,” Mangos said.
