Where is the blueprint

Letters

THE country’s 8th Prime Minister and his government is now recording more than 100 days in office.
This government hasn’t picked-up from where the previous government left. And I believe, the same to so many other projects right around the country.
I dare say weekly because during Peter O’Neill’s reign there was newspaper reports of projects and services being delivered every week. The O’Neill government was of service delivery because people voted and mandated for that very purpose.
Let’s recall back the catch cry, ‘take back PNG, a rich black island country’ has no context at all.
What are you trying to take back and how can you make this country a rich black island country?
For the record, PNG was never on the brink of economic collapse and the international financial ratings were attractive enough to lure international investors.
This government is fostering policies that ignore the simple fact that PNG is part of the global community.
Since this government was not mandated by the bulk population of this country, they have dismantled the country’s opposition where check and balance of the government comes from.
For the sake of empty rhetoric witch hunting exercise, this government has also appointed some members of opposition such as Sir Mekere Morauta and Bryan Kramer. I support Belden Namah to seek interpretation of the high court in which the 8th Prime minister been elected.
People in the rural hinterlands of PNG are missing the presence of the former O’Neill government and can easily see through the rhetoric.
People of this country still with your government, O’Neill.

You are either dumb and plain stupid or you are simply a O’Neill sympathizer seeking redemption. Please do not insult the rest of PNG with your nonsense. Peter O’Neill’s days are over. He and PNC ran this country down and they did it over 7 years. Marape is there for over 100 days. Give him 7 years and you will judge. Right now we need new inspiring leadership to motivate and stir people up to be patriotic and work for the common good. That’s what PM Marape is doing. He will bring the country from brink of collapse. You must be in another planet saying PNG is not experiencing economic collapse. Shut up if you will.

  • Jmarape too much talking and 100 days are over. They are confused, even the supplementary budget is not yet done. The budget will not reach more than 14b and it is a very sad for the country.
