WHP has lost four great leaders

Letters, Normal

THE Western Highlands has lost four prominent leaders in business, politics, church ministry and corporate sector over the last few months.
It is disheartening and the death of councillor Lo Pep, Paul Pora, Pastor Joseph Kingal and David Yok is a loss for the province and PNG.
They have done so much during their lifetime to maintain good governance, peace and security, respect for democratic rule of law, preservation of the Christian faith, and betterment of living conditions for many people in WHP and PNG.
Their combined selfless contributions to the well-being of WHP and nation as a whole is rightfully acknowledged by more than 10,000 professional and educated men and women through the Western Highlands Development Forum Association.
Our condolences go to their families and friends of each of these four.
On the same token, Western Highlanders are urged to look after their health.
It is sad and tragic to see young promising elites of WHP die every passing year.
As God-chosen elites of WHP in our different fields, we must make it our business to encourage, support, build, and protect each other to build a better WHP and PNG.
We cannot continue to pollute our brains with petty, sectional, tribal, personal and political vendetta and grudges.
We must learn to see the bigger picture together.
