A GROUP of young women from Morobe patrol post and Salamaua areas returned from Mt Hagen with positive impressions on the tourism industry in Western Highlands province.
Their trip was sponsored by the Health Minister Sasa Zibe, who is the Huon Gulf MP.
Two members of the group Joan Keph and Helen Wanu commended the tremendous support they received from the minister and his staff.
They said that before starting their journey last week they were warned of the law and order problems in the province. They found the situation to be different.
The group visited a number of guest houses and resource centres and learned a lot about tourism and hospitality which they will apply to their tourism business in the Huon district.
“Huon district is home to some of the world’s most spectacular terrain, tropical blue waters and rainforests, all we have to do is to promote and develop them,” Ms Wanu said.
