Why is Jiwaka not developing?

Letters

THE dreams of the Jimi, Waghi and Kambia people for a separate province began more than a decade ago when they were granted Jiwaka province.
But the big question is, does the Government in its national budget allocation give Jiwaka its share of services improvement programme funds?
No impact and tangible development has taken place since the province voted its pioneer governor in 2012.
The outback Jimi people are forever in their dream world hoping for better roads, footbridges, schools, aid posts, airstrips, solar power and other basic services.
The Kambia people are left in isolation without a road link since independence.
Their dream for basic government services have not been delivered to their locality by their governor.
The feeder roads for the North and South Waghi people are left in shambles and there’s no electricity to communities who are a just distances away from the main power grid. That is a disgrace and the people are wondering if the Government is allocating funds to Jiwaka just as other provinces.
If Jiwaka received its yearly allocation from the national budget, then appropriate government agencies should probe the governor on what he has done so far in terms of impact projects and infrastructural developments.
